Artist, Creator

Artist Anastasia Konstantopoulou (Anactacia glass) has for many years been engaged in the art of glass. She started her career with jewelry construction, and her creative ability and restlessness led her to make jewelry with leather, stones and alpaca.
She learned glass-making and construction of small sculptures in glass next to Michel Gautier and Echuca Nishi in the United States, and also attended glass-making lessons next to Vladimir Klein in Europe.
Techniques from the cultures of the world have evolved through her personal power of expression, resulting in original and unique sculptures. Taming the flow of molten glass, the artist has entrapped in it precious and semi-precious materials such as gold and platinum, creating in this way high-art objects. Large glass sculptures (compact blocks) represent the techniques of pâte de verre (glass fragments) and molten glass (glass casting).

“THE ART OF GLASS SCULPTURE”
Artist
Anastasia Konstantopoulou has for many years been engaged in the art of
glass. She started her career with jewelry construction, and her
creative ability and restlessness led her to make jewelry with leather,
stones and alpaca.
She
learned glass-making and construction of small sculptures in glass next
to Michel Gautier and Echuca Nishi in the United States, and also
attended glass-making lessons next to Vladimir Klein in Europe.
Techniques
from the cultures of the world have evolved through her personal power
of expression, resulting in original and unique sculptures. Taming the
flow of molten glass, the artist has entrapped in it precious and
semi-precious materials such as gold and platinum, creating in this way
high-art objects. Large glass sculptures (coming out of compact blocks)
represent the technique or process of molten glass (pâte de verre) and
glass casting.
This
Greek female artist with her own personal flair, knowledge, experience
and skill in glass casting, has made the difference in Greece and
abroad. For many years, her art—objects of high aesthetic and artistic
value—has been traveling to global trade and art exhibitions, allowing
her to communicate artistically with other art lovers. Anastasia
Konstantopoulou's glass artworks have always had the luxury of
uniqueness in terms of design, regardless of their number.
Today,
having reached a state of full maturity and having acquired a deep
knowledge of working with glass, she creates individual and unique art
pieces that radiate the brilliance of this wonderful material and
reflect her high artistic ability.
Her
painting on glass (modern reverse painting on glass), and particularly
on large surfaces, leads her to personal pursuits and the creation of an
individual style in the depiction of faces and figures that stir
emotions.
The
contemporary art of creating unique works in glass by the first person
who taught artistic glass casting in Greece and abroad (Anastasia glass)
is a continuation in history of the art of the Egyptians and ancient
Greeks.
The
valuable artistic work of Anastasia Konstanopoulou leaves its own mark
of high aesthetics on household objects made of glass, which at the same
time constitute unique artworks.
